New Pictures

I got the kids pictures taken a while ago by a friend in my ward who is a photographer. Once when Kennedy was 6 weeks and then again when she was 3 months. She was a much better picture taker at 3 months. I am just now putting them on my blog. Kennedy is now almost 6 months. The last picture was taken by me at her current age. She is not much different, maybe just a little chubbier. I love to kiss her little chubby cheeks.

FINALLY FINISHED

I finally finished decorating Kennedy's room. Better late then never right. There is still a few more finishing touches but I will add stuff as I see it. I painted her accent wall buttercream yellow. I made her letters with help of my sister-in-law Lisa. I love pink and I was so excited when I found out we were having a girl to decorate her room. The room is so bright and cheery it really fits with her personality. She is always happy and smiling. This is now my favorite room of the house.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN

My Baby Chick and Scurvy Pirate. I called Kennedy my baby chick because saying she is a chicken people did not get what I was talking about. Dallin wanted to be a pirate so that he could make people walk the "flank" or plank. Our kids got a lot of use out of their costumes this year. We had a really fun Halloween!!!!!!!!

Dallin was a "Scurvy" pirate for Halloween. He got the scurvy part from the Backyardigans. He loved being a pirate, especially because He got to carry a sword. He was definitely the cuted pirate I had ever seen. This was the first year he really caught on and liked trick-or-treating. He was mad though when people did not answer the door. We went on the 30th to our ward trunk-or-treat and on Halloween in our neighborhood. You can see his cute boots int these top pictures and in the bottom picture he is more of a Vegas Pirate and insisted on wearing his flip flops out in the neighborhood. We are spoiled with the weather right now. It is perfect. We sat outside in shortsleeves and obviously Dallin had on flip flops.

Kennedy is such a happy baby. She never once minded being in her costume. She actually liked to put it in her mouth. She was so cute. I have seen this costume on other kids before and had to get it, it is so cute to see her little chubby face out of the top. My favorite part though was the orange and yellow striped tights and webbed feet.

We had a party at my grandma Dahn's when we were in Salt Lake visiting in the middle of October. The kids decorated cookies, well Dallin just dipped and ate them, he could not be bothered with the decorating part and then we went and fed the ducks. It was fun to see everyone.

This is Dallin the night of Halloween, Do you think he had too much CANDY?????????????????

Halloween Continued

This picture actually has a story... We went to our friend's (Gareth and Kari Nash) Halloween party. Garrett dressed up as Elvis and I was just his sidekick I guess. But we had matching jumpsuits and all. We even got Garrett a black wig. It was so fun and for anyone who know Garrett it was not an easy task to get him to dress up, and then as Elvis it was great. The costumes were fitting for Vegas. Why is there not a picture of him up on the blog??? Well that is because he threatened to leave me (j/k) if I did. I love him to much to risk that so I left them off. But it was awesome to see Gar dressed up. Garrett just did not want the whole bloggin world to see him in a red spandex jumpsuit. He was a good sport and we had so much fun. It was not a kids party, but our babysitter bombed at the last minute. So the kids came. It was fun and I don't know when I will get Garrett to dress up again. So at least I have pictures at home.

Zoey

This is our crazy dog Zoey. She is almost 2 years old. She loves blankets, and if there is any chance that she can lay on one she takes it. The baby is never bothered by her and she is Dallin's very best friend.

Hawaii

We went to Hawaii with Garrett's work (Toyota) at the end of September. It was so fun. We spent 4 days of nonstop entertainment. We had the mornings to ourselves and then the afternoon and night with Toyota. They had Stevie Nicks, Aerosmith, Doobie Brothers, Goo Goo Dolls, Jay Leno and other people performing there. It was awesome. Our flight was delayed for 6 hours on the way there so the airline reimbursed us one free flight so we are going back next year for sure.

This was the view from our hotel room. We were right on the beach it was beautiful. This was my first time going to Hawaii.

The Summer of Kennedy

Kennedy was an answer to so many prayers and much patience. We were so excited for her arrival. She was born on June 15th, 2007. She was 6 pounds 7 ounces. Having a baby in the middle of the summer really changes all of your vacation plans. But we did not care this year.

My mom and sister came down the 1st week Kennedy was born. It was so nice to have the help, and to have someone to keep Dallin entertained.

It was so hot, 117 degrees, that they went swimming in our pool everyday. I was very sad that I could not swim most of the summer.

Garrett's mom came down the 2nd week. What a blessing it was to have 2 weeks straight of help. Dallin loved all the grandmas attention too.

Dallin would swim everyday if we let him. He loves the water.

The 4th of July was quiet at our house with a few fireworks and sparklers.

We have a lot of pictures of Kennedy, because my mom gave me strict instructions that she needed to see pictures once a week so she did not miss out on anything.
Dallin is just a crazy kid and always does the funniest things. He definitely keeps us on our toes.
We blessed Kennedy in Salt Lake. Garrett's whole family was in town for a family reunion and mine all live there so it just made sense. It was a great experience to have the whole family together for a weekend.

Dallin and Griffen

Kennedy's Blessing

3 Months old
She is now 3 months old. Time really does fly by. It has been fun to watch her grow this past few months. She is definitely has her own personality and is very happy as long as she's not hungry.

California

We went to California in August. We did it all. We went to Disneyland and California Adventure, the beach and 3 Yankees games. It was so much fun. We are definitely taking advantage of only living 4 hours from California. It was one of the first vacations that Dallin was not ready to come home from.

THE BEACH

We visited Dave and Jenny, like always, when in Cali. Every year we go to the Yankees game together. It was fun to see them.

It was Sunday and we went to the beach. As you can see Dallin did not have a swim suit because it was Sunday. But he stripped very soon and had fun. Garrett was not impressed and blamed me for letting him be "white trash" at the beach.

DISNEYLAND

Disney land was a blast. Dallin was pretty brave. He went on the Matterhorn and Space Mountain and then that was it for the big rides. But he loved all the little ones. He is at such a fun age where he really thinks the characters are real and he loved meeting them.

Disneyland was so much fun. Dallin loved every minute of it. It was not even bad with the baby there.

CALIFORNIA ADVENTURE

Dallin absolutely loves Cars. In fact we have every car from the movie that he plays with. He really thought Mater and Lightning were real. He did not want to leave them.

YANKEES

Dallin had, had enough. It was the last day of the vacation and between Disneyland, the beach and 3 Yankees games he was done.

Yes, I am a dork. I was really excited to get my picture taken with Jason Giambi. He is a really cool guy. We had about 4 players come over to us because of the baby and tell us to look out for foul balls. It was fun.
