Oceanside 2012 - Day 2

We played and played and played at the beach!! My kids had so much fun they are counting the days to go back and we don't even have a trip planned :)  They swam, body surfed, looked for fish and went clear out as far as Garrett.  They loved the water.  I was surprised, because I don't love California water (its too cold for me).  Camden did not love the water.  He wanted to be with them so we would try and then come back because he said the wind (or waves) was getting him!

No we did not build that sand castle.  Our was much smaller!  But they loved this one.

I do not know how this happened.

He kept himself busy on the beach with sand and baseball he couldn't have been happier!

Of course someone had to be buried in the sand!

Camden thought he would try for all of one second.  Then he did not like it so much!

Our favorite treat in oceanside.  Rite Aid ice cream.  It is a tradition of Mike and Linda's that we have carried on every time that we are there :)

Oceanside 2012 - Day 1

We decided to get away for a quick weekend before school starts.  We went down to San Diego and Oceanside for the weekend.  It was perfect!  We had gorgeous weather a great Padres game and fun at the beach.  The kids decided that it would be great if we moved there :)  (little do they know that LA is a possibility in the future)

Petco Park has a wiffle ball field right in the stadium.  The kids had so much fun and wanted to hit again and again.  We had to pull them away to go back and watch the game!

I love this picture because they were studying the game and what the fielders were doing and how they were doing it as well as the pitcher and hitters.  It captured the moment.

After the game the kids could not wait to go to the beach so we just went and walked around for a little while before dinner.
